Thanks so much to you all the staff there. We all enjoyed our stay at Cale and the food was great. Everyone was impressed by the love and service we received and it just made our stay even more enjoyable. Thanks for all your hard work for us. Dear Cale, (Cale Retreat director)

My husband and I are very impressed with the impact you and your staff have had on our son. He was a fine young teen but since his week at your teen week he has been different. We thought it might last a week or two but it is now going on 2 months and he is still acting different. He told us about how you talked about living on the mission field and what the kids had their. He told us you told them about gratitude and how important a character trait that is. Our son has been acting much more grateful than ever before. You and your staff have truly impressed our son as well as my husband and I as we are seeing the results. Our son also said he felt like you and your staff really cared for him and each camper there as you all go out of your way to learn campers names. He said that has never happened at camps he attended before. Thank you for taking time with our son so as to impress him the way you have. He has asked if he could attend two weeks next summer. If you all would be having two teen weeks you would see him at both! Our son has attended several camps around Virginia while growing up, he said that your camp was by far the best camp going. Thank you again for the great job you and your staff do with the summer camp. May God continue to bless you all!

Dear Cale,

Thank you for operating such a wonderful summer camp. My daughter asked Jesus to come into her heart this summer while at Cale. She was so excited and is still talking about camp, friends she made, the staff, and how nice you and Grayce were to her. She will be baptized the end of September and made a member of our church. When we ask her about this decision she can talk about it and actually have a good discussion. We have taken her to church all her life but after a week at camp the subject seems to be easier for her to discuss and explain. She said your daughter was her senior counselor and she wants to grow up just like her. She wants to play the guitar, sing in a praise band, ride horses, and tell young kids about Jesus. Her dad and I are glad we sent her to camp with you all and will plan for her to go again next summer. I really do not think we have a choice as she has said she is ready to go back right now!

Dear Cale,

Thank you for all the help you gave us in preparing our first district picnic. Though the numbers were not as we had hoped, we had a great time and you and your wonderful facility helped make it all possible. You are so flexible and easy to work with, this made my first new event planning much easier, THANK YOU! I am not sure who will be planning the picnic next year but we will be calling you, taking your advise, and looking forward to being at Cale Retreat again. You have such a wonderful place there on the river, we knew we were in God's presence at Cale.

Thanks again for another great week at Cale - my daughter is still talking about Teen Week! She was not ready to come home and already asked when the date is for next year!!!! She tickled me so much when she told me shortly after getting in the car to come home that she learned something very important.....A fool always loses his temper but a wise man holds it back.....Proverbs 29:11 She went on to tell me that she will be saying that verse every day to deal with having 3 brothers!!!! I have heard her say it several times since being at home!!! I greatly appreciate Cale including and emphasizing scripture memorization. At church everyone shows up for the games, lock-ins, etc but little scripture memorization is encouraged. I think scripture memorization is irreplaceable and thank you for making it part of Cale's camping week! It will impact those kids forever! During the week my daughter was at teen camp and our sons were at their week of camp one of our family members had an emergency which took us to the hospital during both weeks. I share this with you because I am overly-paranoid when anyone close to me has to go to the ER or has a health emergency. I usually want all my kids right there with me. With them being at camp, I had no worries at all while at the hospital as I knew my kids were right where God wanted them and in great care. Thank you for making Cale a place of "no worries" for me! I'm just very thankful for Cale and the wonderful work of the Spirit that takes place there - I mean, for parents and kids (especially two of my kids being in teen years!!!) to both love a place like that is just fabulous - it's a work of the Lord!

Thank you for a wonderful camp! My two grandsons enjoyed camp so much. This was one's 3rd year there, and the others 1st year. They've been singing the praise and worship songs they learned at camp, and talking about God. Thank you for your wonderful ministry; may the Lord continue to bless you!

Just wanted to thank you all for being so gracious during the horse ride. Everyone was so nice. The food was great and the trails were awesome. We all had a great time, see you all next time around.

My son and I recently attended your Father and Son Retreat. I thought it would be a nice time away with my son but I had no idea how enlightening and wonderful a time we would have. The lessons you gave, the testimonies we heard, and the trap shooting were fantastic! My son is still talking about the Friday night hike in the woods and the bear trap. That was an excellent illustration for all of us to see. I asked my son his favorite part of the weekend and he started listing everything, the camp fire, the singing, the dads against the sons in hide and seek Friday night, the lessons you spoke of, and he even mentioned the time you asked the dads to pray over our sons right there in the meeting hall. Thank you for the time you and Grayce gave to bless us dads and our sons. This weekend was a true blessing for me and we will look forward to the next time we can come back. The food was fantastic too, better than my wife's! May God continue to use you and the ministry of Cale. Thanks, a grateful dad

My son and I talked the whole way home about the dad & son retreat. My son really liked the way you talked about your first car and using the right manual to get it fixed right and how the manual to fix a man right is God's Word, the Bible. He said it made since that since God made us, He should be the one to tell us how we should run as men. He mentioned this a couple times. He also talked about the bear trap and how he really thought you were going to step in it. The meals, devotions, testimonies, and activities were all perfect. I will see if he wants to sell his game boy for a shot gun, I hope so. Thank you for a great weekend for my son and me to spend time together and study God's Word. A VA dad
